Prayer for Memorial Day
Greater love has no one than this: to
lay down one’s life for one’s friends.—John 15:13 (NIV)
On this Memorial Day remember those who gave
the greatest sacrifice for our country. These men and
women who laid down their lives for our freedom
are true examples of honor and courage. Pray for the
families of our troops and ask for God’s comfort and
blessings to fill their homes.
Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for the dedicated men and women
who serve in our armed forces. We pause in remembrance
of those who have gone before them, often serving in
harm’s way to protect the liberties we enjoy today.
