Sausage Cheese Balls

Here’s a sure-to-please recipe that you can make in advance and then just pop in the oven on Christmas morning (or any other morning).

Ingredients

3 c. baking mix, such as Bisquick
½ lb. ground mild pork sausage
½ lb. ground hot pork sausage
4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
½ c. grated Parmesan cheese
¾ c. milk
1 tsp. fresh rosemary leaves, finely chopped

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a large bowl mix together baking mix, mild and hot sausage, Cheddar, Parmesan, milk, and rosemary with your hands or a spoon. Using an ice cream scoop, shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.

3. Place the sausage balls on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the sausage is cooked through. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Makes 4 dozen balls.
