“For God alone, my soul in silence waits.” A Psalmist says that. “For God alone, my soul in silence waits.”
There’s a lot of places we look for God and find God, but we often forget about silence, to give ourselves moments of silence in a very noisy world. I mean, right outside this window, but also in the newspaper, on your phone, that noise is there. Close your eyes, the noises in your head.
But give yourself some silence. “For God alone, my soul in silence waits.” We’ll keep talking about this, but for this moment, put away your phone, turn off the computer. “For God alone, my soul in silence waits.” God speed.
